DJI Point of Interest Mode explained

Learn more about the DJI Point of Interest Mode (PoI-Mode) in this easy-to-follow explanation.

Learn how to activate and use the DJI Point of Interest Mode effectively.

Point of Interest is installed to most DJI drones.

There are phenomenal videos in which drones circle around objects while the camera is

always focused on the exciting object (for example a tower):

Flying such maneuvres really takes some time and training and you might use two or three batteries

until your videos really look cineastic.

And here is why you need the Point of Interest Mode.

Simply activate it and hover above the desired object. (Tip: for smaller objects it is often recommended

to use a grid – so it is much easier to determine the centre.)

So if you drone flies over the centre, push the button to activate the Point of Interest.

Then you have to fly farther – at least five metres from the centre are recommended according

to the software. Then you have to set the speed and the direction (they can also be adjusted

while flying your PoI) and push “Go!”.

Your DJI drone will automatically rotate around the object while making it the centre of your pictures.

During the flight you can operate the camera and control the flight while making beautiful videos.

THIS drone makes the best films – but also THIS cheaper alternative is much better than the competition

and an all-rounder when it comes to making films.
